How to Cleanse

A juice and protein cleanse is a great way to flush toxins and reset your body clock. Cleansing is all about taking clean eating to the next level, giving your digestive system a break while helping reduce your intake of unhealthy, fatty and processed foods.

At Karma Juice, we provide customized cleanse programs tailored to what will work best with your body type, eating habits and lifestyle. Or you can create your own plan and choose your own drinks based on flavor profiles and dietary requirements.

Our cleanse packages consist of six, 12-ounce drinks per day (3 organic cold pressed juices and 3 organic cold blended protein smoothies. Each healthy, nutrient-dense pressed drink is made with our state-of-the-art hydraulic cold press, bottled immediately, and shipped cold to your door.

We recommend you start each day with 8 ounces of our Karma Harmony Juice to set your PH levels for the day. After that the choice is yours. On the hour every hour til bedtime you will rotate between half a juice and half a smoothie. If you wake at 8 am you would drink half of a juice until 9 am, followed by drinking half a smoothie until 10 am. Repeat this process throughout the day and make sure to follow the instructions below for before, during and after the cleanse. In addition, make sure to drink at least your body weight in ounces of water. (ie: a person weighing 150 pounds would drink at least 150 ounces of water throughout the day along with the juices and smoothies in the cleanse)

If you follow the instructions, keep hydrated, and make sure to rest and relax as much as possible, our Karma cleanse will give your digestive system a much deserved break while feeding your cells the nutrients they need to thrive.

Before Your Cleanse

To ensure you get the best results from your cleanse, we suggest modifying your diet for 3 days before you begin. We recommend eliminating:

  • Caffeine
  • Alcohol
  • Nicotine
  • Refined Sugar
  • Wheat
  • Dairy
  • Processed Foods
  • Meat

In place of these items, we suggest consuming 80% fresh fruit and raw or lightly steamed vegetables. Drink an ample amount of water to keep hydrated. You can introduce our 3 day “Karma Till Dinner” package which consists of (2) green juices and (2) shakes per day, for the 3 days prior to starting your cleanse. The introduction of juices and shakes into your system before cleansing can replace one or two meals per day. You can enjoy a dinner consisting of salad, steamed vegetables and a serving of lean protein. As you become a more experienced cleanser, you will learn how your body responds best to the foods you feed it.

During The Cleanse

Start your day with 32oz water and freshly squeezed lemon on an empty stomach, or a bottle of Harmony and 16 oz. water. Once you feel ready to drink more liquid: Start first with 1/2 bottle of the green juice of your preference, 8 oz. total. Note your intake time. Drink your juice slowly and try to mimic chewing the juice. This will help stimulate your brain to know that you’re ingesting food, not just liquid. An hour later drink 1/2 bottle of a protein shake, remember to mimic the chewing action as well with the shake. Drink at least 8 oz. of water in between consumption of green juices and shakes. Continue all day long alternating every hour with 6 oz. of green juice and 6 oz. of shake until you finish all 6 bottles. Keep in mind that you will have up to 12 hours of highly nutritional drinks to nourish your body, mind and spirit. Enjoy and be truthful to your health.

Water is extremely important during your cleanse as it flushes your organs and blood system of toxins. Juices drench your body with live nutrients, encouraging your cells to release toxins and allowing the water to carry them away. For the best results during your cleanse:

  • Drink your bodyweight in ounces of water daily.
  • Chew your juices and smoothies slowly to stimulate digestive enzymes, digestion begins in the mouth.
  • Exfoliate and dry-brush your skin to remove toxins through your pores
  • Exercise, do some cardio, try hot yoga or use the sauna. This will promote blood circulation and allows the body to sweat out toxins through perspiration.
  • Take time to meditate. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhm
  • Deep breathing helps cleanse the body.
  • Avoid gum or mints while cleansing. They promote the release of digestive enzymes that make you hungry. Plus, they are comprised of artificial ingredients and sweeteners.
  • Get plenty of sleep, your body heals itself as you rest.
  • If you’re looking to get the maximum from your cleanse, schedule hydro colon therapy. If that doesn’t appeal to you, consider using an herbal laxative and Karma Essence to aid in this process.
  • Cleanse with a friend!!! Having the support from a friend or partner makes it so much easier as you are going through the experience together.

After The Cleanse

Coming off your cleanse properly is important. The first day after a cold pressed juice and protein shake Karma Cleanse, continue if possible with our Karma Till Dinner program, which provides (2) green juices and (2) shakes per day, this will help nourish your body for up to 8 hrs. You can choose a responsible dinner in the evening, or you can choose having a healthy lunch instead. Drink juices and smoothies, eat soups and consume lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. It is best to avoid red meat for at least 5 days. Lean proteins, like chicken breast and fish, are better options. This is a great time to plan out an exercise regimen. At this point, your body will feel deeply rejuvenated; take this new experience to build momentum toward a healthier lifestyle. Cleansing will become easier over time and your results will further enhance every time you cleanse.
